We've had a bit of a break for a few days whilst materials are delivered. We've finished extending the box section around the window and we've got the lights and extractor fan for the ceiling. The bathroom suite is being delivered on Wednesday.

The ceiling is finished. We've fitted gloss white PVC panels and inset spotlights.

The new bathroom is using quite a lot of electrical items so we've built a distribution board to house all the different parts. This will be fitted in the loft above the bathroom and will be accessible through the loft hatch in case anything goes wrong. All the electrics going into the bathroom are protected and are totally safe. The entire bathroom suite has been delivered today too. We assembled the toilet, you can see this on the video clips from the fixed camera position.

Good news and bad news today... First the good news. We've built a cupboard for the sink to sit on. This will be fitted into the corner of the room and tiled along with the walls.
Now the bad news... We've noticed the ceiling panels are beginning to distort around the lights (despite assurances from the supplier that they are able to withstand the temperatures) This is a real set-back. Our best option is to replace the bulbs with an LED version, or strip off the entire ceiling and start again.

More lights in the ceiling... but what are they for? All will be revealed later!
