Sorry there has been no updates for a few days, but we've hit a bit of a snag with the gas pipe. We used some lengths of the old gas pipe as it was in the correct place, however we've discovered it's not big enough for the new boiler. Unfortunately this pipe also runs behind the kitchen units which has halted progress of that for a while.

All the bedrooms have now been painted with two coats of emulsion paint, and the hall and landing have one coat.

We've completed all the walls upstairs now together with the hallway, stairs and landing, so we've moved downstairs and begun the dining room and kitchen area with the first coat of paint. The gas pipe is still holding up work on the kitchen, but that will hopefully be finished on Wednesday so we can get the kitchen back in.

The dining room and kitchen area walls are painted with two coats now so it's on with more painting downstairs in the lounge whilst the new gas pipe is fitted. We've also used a knotting sealant on all the new wood so that when we paint, the sap won't leak out. (That's the orange dots on the wood you can see!)

All of the walls are now painted with two coats, and we've done two coats of knotting solution on all the new wood, so we've begun painting the door frames and skirting boards in the bedrooms. It will take a couple of coats of undercoat before the top gloss coat is applied.

Despite the lack up updates over the last few days, we've been busy! We've now painted all the woodwork with two coats of undercoat, and filled and sanded ready for the final coat of gloss. We've fitted the loft door and a lot of other "finishing off" jobs.
